Position Overview
We are seeking a confident, experienced, and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners preparing for kindergarten. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sense of structure, a take-charge attitude, and a genuine commitment to helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate creates a classroom environment where children feel a sense of belonging while maintaining clear expectations and consistent routines.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Primrose curriculum and standards
- Create a structured, organized classroom that promotes independence, confidence, and school readiness
- Capture and maintain children’s attention through interactive, creative, and purposeful teaching strategies
- Establish and reinforce classroom expectations, routines, and positive behavior guidance
- Prepare children for kindergarten by focusing on early literacy, math, problem-solving, and social skills
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing updates with families
- Foster a strong sense of community and belonging within the classroom
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, staff, and leadership
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to support school-wide goals and consistency
Qualifications
- Experience teaching in a preschool or pre-kindergarten classroom
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead with confidence and consistency
- Ability to balance structure with warmth and engagement
- Proven ability to keep children focused, engaged, and motivated to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Mature, dependable, and proactive in problem-solving
- Commitment to following established curriculum and program guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with structured early education programs such as Primrose or similar models
